This attractive cross-over purse is handcrafted from cotton batik fabric. The front is embellished with a rectangle of traditional Hmong fabric. The contrast between the different fabrics is very eye-catching. The top has a strip of color coordinated hemp fabric. The cotton cross body strap is connected to the bag with strip of braided leather. "Hillside" is fully lined with an inside zip pocket. The zipper closure is ornamented with bright,tiny bells. This is a perfect weekend bag for all occasions.  The making of this intricate art (batik) is done by Hmong hill tribe women of Northern Thailand. Using large copper blocks, they stamp hot wax designs onto cotton cloths.
